Rossignol Evo OT 65 Skis with Control Step In Bindings

This is about as burly of an in-track setup can get without the BC moniker. The Rossignol Evo OT 65 skis with Control step-in bindings is an awesome setup for Nordic skiing all over the place. Built with a wood core and three-quarter metal edges, the Rossignol Evo OT 65 loves to be pushed to the edge. The cool thing about these skis and bindings is that really any skier can use them. From first-time, never-evers to long-time expert skiers who are looking for an adventure ski to add to the quiver, the Rossignol Evo OT 65 has a ton of versatility as well as capabilities. I've used mine at the ski resort, and while they're still light and soft to be turned like a true BC ski, they held and performed admirably, and I was more than pleased and impressed with the ski's overall ability to both climb and descend. When I've used them in the track at the Nordic center, the grip is impressive and the weight is light enough to get from point A to point B with minimal effort. You just get so much confidence when it comes to these skis, it's crazy. The ski's ability to be multiple things at the same time is quite impressive, and the well-roundedness of the setup is off the charts. With the IFP plate on the binding, you can move it back and forth to gain more grip or glide, further adding to the legend of the OT 65.

Features:

  • Sidecut: 65/53/60 mm at all sizes
  • Fish Scale Grip
  • Control Step-in Binding
  • IFP Plate
  • Wood Core
  • ¾ Metal Edge
  • Ability Level: All

Questions

Can you confirm that these come with NNN compatible bindings that are already mounted? Do the bindings have a button that can be pushed with a pole to release the boot or is it a lever style?

Question by: LB on Jan 1, 2021, 6:37 PM

HI LB!
Yes, NNN compatible mounted bindings. They have a turn dial on the toe piece to get out. You can use your Nordic pole tip to do so. Have fun!

is the "fish scale grip" on the 2021 Rossignol EVO OT skis cut into the ski or does it protrude like the EVO Tour XC60?

Also, I want to make sure these bindings will work with NNN boots.

Thank you.

Hi Dave!
It's cut into the base. Just checked my personal pair--I love them! Compatible with NNN boots. Have fun!

Will these boots fit 2022 Evo OT 65 skis?

ASOLO AWS 850 Black Cross Country Ski Boots

Question by: Michele R Fleming on Nov 14, 2021, 1:19 PM

Hi Michele,

This is an older boot and will not fit most of todays x/c bindings. We would recommend buying a new boot as you will be challenged to find new binding that this boot will accommodate. Your other avenue would be to look for used, older skis/bindings.

Hope this helps and think snow!

I have an old pair of Rossignol X3 NNN boots (10+ years old?). They seem to fit into the new bindings on the EVO OT 65s that just arrived just fine. So, no worries?

Question by: John Bluthardt on Dec 18, 2021, 4:51 PM

Hi John,

Should be good. Just make sure you can enter and the exit the binding cleanly.

Answer by: Dave Hatoff on Oct 28, 2021, 12:26 PM

I see that the sizing chart states: 195cm for weight of 170+. But you only have size up to 185 available. Is that sufficient for a 175lb male? The Rossignol customer service rep told me the correct fit for me was 185 cm. Thanks for any info you can share.

Question by: John on Nov 22, 2021, 4:01 PM

Hi John,

Absolutely!

Rossy was spot on on that call and we could not agree more. At 175 lbs more than enough ski in the 185cm length. If you weighed 185 lbs or over we would recommend sizing you up to the 195cm.

Go for it and think snow!

Is there a better upgrade for the Control Step in Bindings that comes with the 2022 Rossignol Evo OT 65 skis? I’m an advanced XC skier and would like a high quality binding. I just bought this ski and binding combination from you and before I use them, I’d like to swap out the bindings. I have new Rossignol boots that are compatible with this binding type. Thank you.

Question by: Ed Shank on Dec 13, 2021, 6:52 PM

Hi Ed,

Thanks for your inquiry.

As of right now we are sold out of all x/c bindings as demand has been off the charts. Check back with us in a few weeks and hopefully we have some more coming in at that time.

Thanks and think snow!

Two questions. 1. Are you expecting longer skis being in stock soon? I would love to get these in a 185. 2. Can you upgrade to a different binding? I would love to get these with BC NNN boots. Thanks, Josh

Question by: Josh Cohen on Jan 30, 2022, 11:59 AM

HI Josh!
We are hoping to get the 185's back in stock in the OT, but to get the BC binding, you'd have to move to the full-edge BC 65. Most/all of our Nordic skis come pre-mounted from the factory, so you'd have to buy a binding separately and re-mount. Hope that helps!

When will the RossignolEvo OT 65 Positrack/Control Step-In Skiis be in stock? I would like to purchase the 185cm size.

Question by: JOSEPH TILL on Feb 12, 2022, 1:44 AM

HI Joseph!
We likely won't see those until the summer, and other partial metal edge skis like this are in very high-demand. Check back in case of returns, but we're not optimistic about gaining big inventory there.
